Ep4: Austin’s Tragic story
“What are you looking at asshole? Just untie us both” Nashira said.
Austin smiled towards her and said, “fine”. Then he untied us both.
Austin looked at me and said, “There’s a lot of blood, just wipe it off niggah”
Then, I wiped it off using my jacket cloth.
“Then newbie, it’s long time no see” Austin said.
“Oh my God, I am leaving. You both continue your story” Nashira said and got into the copter and reached the rooftop to meet the rest of the team.
Meanwhile, I asked Austin, “How are you Austin Troy?”
“Great niggah” he replied.
“Then, how did you end up with IDENTITY?” I asked curiously.
“I was given options, to live or to die…
“Life, what we thought, what we dreamt didn’t happen the way all had. I could have been a reputed Forensic Doctor and you a special agent not involving with the shit done by the political leaders like the rest—
“—But…
“But we didn’t live the life of the rest but we raised our voices against them”, Austin Troy said with frustration.
“It’s O.K., I knew that f***ing son of a bitch
left us in a ditch
“It is better not to waste the rest of your life thinking about the past but to work for a better future”, I said.
“Enough of advices, dude —
“Oh man! Do I seem like changed or not?
“This heck of a place was a beginning of relief from wounds of past, dude” Austin Troy said.
“Do you like this organisation?” Austin Troy asked in a hysterical manner.
“Oh f***, yes” I replied with a laugh.
“Then, you must give me a party today” I said.
“Oh! For our meeting after long time. Fine, I will buy you some champagne” Austin replied.
“It’s not for our meeting. I didn’t attend your marriage, so give me proper treat that I missed” I said.
After hearing that, Austin blinked at me with raising his eyebrows and said, “Marriage?”
“Yeah, your marriage with Nashira” I replied.
“Nope, I think you are confused” Austin replied.
“She was talking about anniversary with you some moments earlier. Am I correct?” I asked Austin.
“Could you recall what she said earlier?” Austin asked and made a short laugh.
“She said happy f***ing anniversary” I said and found that I interpreted it wrong.
I just made a dumb look at him.
“So, you both had intercourse” I said with a frustrated tone.
“It happened by mistake as we both were high on alcohol. It was purely unexpected and was horrifying” Austin said with low tone.
“How can intercourse be horrifying?” I asked him a doubt.
“Intercourse with the wrong person can be horrifying”, Austin replied.
“So, there is nothing between you and her” I asked in a doubting manner.
“Yeah dude”, Austin replied.
“Fine”, I replied.
“Okay, I will buy you a party that you asked for but for God sake stop asking questions about her. You know well about my decisions in the past” Austin said.
“Fine, let’s get going” Austin said.
“Okay” I replied. Then Austin and I got into the copter and reached the rooftop.
“You get going with your team, let this be your first victory” Austin said.
“You saved the day, Austin” I said.
“It’s your first day and I made sure that you have that team under your leadership. Keep in mind, don’t lose them” Austin said.
“Sure” I replied.
“Okay, I got to go for a field work and let’s meet evening. I will give you a call” Austin said.
“Okay” I replied happily.
Then I just got into my copter and we started our journey. We picked Agent Archer from the roof of the temple.
“That was one hell of a shot. Good job Agent Archer” I complimented him.
“Good job, team mates” I said.
“Yes, Sir”, they replied.
“Are you and Austin very close?” Nashira asked.
“We were best friends since childhood” I replied.
“Why he doesn’t feel to love someone?” Nashira asked me.
“Austin was once longing for love during his adolescence but he had no luck in it” I said with a short laugh.
“Agent Pollux is an angel for us. How can he be rejected?”, Agent Vega asked me.
“He was not the same before. He changed a lot. I prayed that he should fall in love and be loved the same” I said.
“Did your prayers work?” Agent Pegasus asked.
I smiled at him and said,” Yeah, once after all failed attempts. Her name was Riddhi Arora. Austin saw her for first time when she guided him to the room in the apartment, I booked for him. She was his neighbour. He started getting the feeling that she might be the one for him but he lacked confidence. But they were destined to meet once again and this time God planned it out for him. They both worked for the Research and Analysis Wing. After few months, they started dating and he used to be disturbing me with his calls every night during my days in MARCOS. Even then, Austin lacked confidence to ask her out about feelings for him thinking she would leave him like the rest. But after some months, he was ready to face things and left his damn expectations and asked her out himself”
“Then, what happened?”, Nashira asked.
“She was first was in dilemma but then she accepted his proposal and she kissed him. That was his first kiss and he tortured me with his call that night explaining about their kiss” I replied with laugh.
My teammates were happy on hearing it.
“Great, then what happened, Sir” Agent Vega.
“Their love went for more than one year. Then, Austin convinced her family and all set for their marriage” I made a short pause.
“I bet that he should have married her and should have kids right now” Agent Pegasus said.
I just looked at him and said, “No, they didn’t marry”
“Why? What happened?” My teammates asked anxiously.
“They both got engaged and I was happy for him that he got an angel as his fiancée. Few months before their marriage, Riddhi went for spying over a place in Russia to get details on the terrorists who caused 1999 Russian apartment bombings, after threats to Home affairs about bombing the city of New Delhi. Austin was there till she got into a flight to Russia. But…” I made a short pause and tears starting to drop from my eyes. I rubbed it in my jacket.
Then I said, “But she didn’t return, as her identity have been leaked to that terrorist organisation. She contacted him before going into the mission and said I love you to him. But he didn’t realise that it was their last call. She had been declared as Traitor by the nation of India in press. Austin still believed that Riddhi would be alive, but all he received was her eyes and her private organs stuffed into a bottle of beer sent by those terrorists”
On hearing all these tragedy, my teammates grieved for him.
“I heard about this through NEWS, I resigned my job in MARCOS and joined RAW to support my friend during his pain. He cried hugging me saying that he doesn’t deserve love and all the people he loved was taken away from him. Then, I took him for a long trip and tried my best for him to not to lose his life thinking about her. But, when she left his life, Austin changed completely and he couldn’t accept that she was declared as traitor by Indian Government even though it was a rule of RAW. He said that he wanted to kill all those terrorists. But I brought sense in his mind that he won’t get his girl back even after killing them. Then, he took my advice and after many months of rehabilitation, Austin returned to Research and Analysis Wing back normal. Except that he became so much strong minded as he didn’t have nothing to lose anymore. He still now believes that Riddhi is somewhere out there watching him doing good deeds to people of world and he couldn’t give her place to somebody else. Some kisses are meant to be forever and for Austin, its hers” I said in a sad manner.
On hearing that tears started falling from the eyes of Nashira.
I said Nashira, “Austin didn’t mean to hurt you. He can’t give the things you desire because he gave his everything for Riddhi. He cares about you, that’s why he broke your heart by not accepting your proposal so that you would recover easily. That incident you both had was an accident and he couldn’t accept it as he feels like he betrayed Riddhi. He wants a good companion, you can give that for him”
“Yes”, she smiled and said with tears.
